It's Been a While

The job with Dr. Parker is coming along nicely. We are slowly becoming proficient at Flash. The hurricane module is supposed to be done this week, which should be interesting since there is a lot of tweaking, script writing, and audio recording left. It's a good job, though (I mean, I'm getting paid to make weather-related computer graphics), but it can get tiresome on some days.

Things have otherwise been monotonous since the end of school (that's what a 9-5 job will do to you). But I did go bowling Saturday night with a few friends, which was really fun and a change of pace that I thoroughly enjoyed.

To follow up on the note below, WTVD is supposed to be starting a 10pm newscast on WLFL on June 26, but I will have more on that as the date rolls around.

Crazy Week

1. I was coerced into going on the Hillsborough Hike last Friday night. Pretty good time, tried some new beverages, got a lil tipsy. Ran into Tim... been a while since I had talked to him. Probably the wildest night of my life, but that's not saying much.

2. Master procrastinator put off my literature paper until Sunday (due date was moved to Monday morning). Not fun. Up until 3am. Probably atrocious. But I'm hopeful.

3. Went to the Asheboro Zoo Monday with Casey and Kristin. Really fun. Almost nostalgic. Great way to unwind from the semester. The drive out US 64 is relaxing in itself. Food prices there are outrageous though. I spent more on food than I did on admission.

4. Goofed off most of the week. But I did finish capturing all my old tapes.

5. Stayed up semi-late last night "studying" for my statistics exam. Went to bed. Woke up this morning and rolled over to look at the clock. 7:52. WHAT?! Must have turned it off in my sleep again. Huh? Nope, still set. Set the freaking thing for PM! First time I've ever done that. Very embarrassing. There's hope. Reiland said he might be late, like 8:10ish. I can make it. Hustle my butt to Daniels. Believe I heard some random worker say "I don't feel sorry for that dude at all." If he was talking about me, F him. Make it to class in a probably record 11 minutes. But the test had already started. That's OK because it was super easy, and at least two other people arrived after me.

6. Got breakfast after the exam at the Wolves Den. Not a good idea. I think just the chicken biscuit would have been OK. But I decided to order the hash browns/crispy cubes. Got about 5 in and my stomach decided it had enough. Still though, not too bad, just a little unsettled. Take a quick 30 minute snooze to hopefully offset whatever my body had gone through. Didn't help.

7. Today was Kelly P's birthday. A bunch of meteorology kids went to El Rodeo to celebrate. At that point, I figured I'd be OK if I just ate light. Got there, and then kaboom. Stomach attack. Too lengthy to explain my digestive history here. But this one was completely random and odd. Couldn't eat anything. Brought the tacos I ordered back here. I feel sorry for everyone there for having to look at me suffering. But it was worth it since it might have been the last time I saw her and Kate. Took a one and a half hour nap this afternoon. I just think my body was completely confused today and had no idea how to react.

8. Parents are coming in the morning to take some of my extraneous items home. Then Casey and I are going to look at the apartment where we will be living this summer. The rest of the weekend will be spent cramming for my two meteo exams. Should be fun... not.

Sorry for the lengthy post. That's what happens when I bottle up my events for too long. But at least it was in short choppy sentences instead of my normal verbose blather. Coming soon: word of a new WTVD venture.
