Utah
I've been accepted to the University of Utah for graduate school and have been made an offer for a research assistant! And even better news, Casey has, too! We're flying out at the end of the month to visit, meet with professors, etc. It seems like a really nice school, and everyone there has made a good impression on me so far (versus the other schools I applied to who haven't communicated with me one bit). Plus Salt Lake City looks gorgeous. But did you know there are a lot of Mormons out there? Everyone seems to want to mention that to me for some reason. At the very least, I'd get to see more snow out there than I do here!
Speaking of snow, we got our annual <1" snowfall last week that appropriately changed to rain after a few hours. It was more than I was expecting, but still pretty boring overall. It looked pretty on the trees, though. It'd be nice to see at least a little more snow before the winter is over, but with this being Raleigh, I don't have my hopes up. At least it's been pretty cold recently.
